Suspect in custody after injuring 3 Des Moines police officers during domestic abuse investigation.

Three Des Moines police officers were injured during a domestic abuse investigation when 23-year-old Pierce Cruz stabbed one officer in the thigh, kicked another officer in the face, and bit a third officer. Cruz is now in custody and charged with violation of a no-contact order, two counts of willful injury, and assault on a police officer. The injuries are serious but not life-threatening, and the investigation is ongoing.
