Packers RB Jacobs faces two misdemeanor charges in May incident
Prosecutors in Brown County filed two misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property against Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs for a May 23 incident in the Green Bay area; Jacobs had been arrested in May on additional domestic-abuse charges, but the district attorney later filed only the new misdemeanor counts after a lengthy investigation. The incident report alleges Jacobs grabbed his girlfriend’s arm, threw her to the ground, and damaged her phone during a dispute over her phone, with video surveillance reportedly corroborating parts of the confrontation. Jacobs’ lawyers and the DA stressed the case is ongoing and based on evidence, while the NFL and Packers say they are monitoring and cooperating.
