"Teen Sentenced for Bonfire Explosion that Injured 17"

An 18-year-old in Wisconsin has been sentenced to a year in jail and five years probation after triggering a bonfire explosion that injured at least 17 people at a backyard gathering. The teenager threw a barrel containing a mix of gasoline and diesel into the fire, causing the explosion, and pleaded no contest to 13 counts of injury by negligent use of an explosive. He faces civil lawsuits from some of the injured individuals, and expressed remorse in court while one of the victims forgave him for his actions.
