Texas Crash Driver Charged with Manslaughter

The driver of an SUV that crashed into a group of people waiting at a bus stop in Brownsville, Texas, killing eight and injuring 12, has been charged with eight counts of manslaughter and 10 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police believe the driver lost control after running a red light and are awaiting toxicology reports to determine if he was intoxicated. The victims were waiting for a bus to return to downtown Brownsville after spending the night at a migrant center, and several were from Venezuela.
