Texas Mother Leaves Young Children Alone to Go on Cruise

A 29-year-old Texas woman was arrested for allegedly leaving her 8-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter alone in their Houston apartment to go on a cruise. Deputies found the apartment in disarray with a strong smell of urine and no adults present. The woman had used a camera to watch and talk to the kids during her trip, and her son had a phone to text her. The children were released to their aunt after a wellness check by the Houston Fire Department and involvement of Child Protective Services.
