Tragic Dog Attack Claims Life of 6-Year-Old Boy in Portland

A 6-year-old boy was mauled to death by two large Great Dane-mastiff mix dogs in Portland, Oregon. The dogs' owner, an adult woman, greeted police at the door with bloodied hands from trying to stop the attack. The woman was later treated for minor injuries. The two dogs involved were euthanized, while a third dog is being held by animal services. The victim did not live in the dog owner's home and was dropped off there by his grandmother. The owner did everything she could to save the boy's life, including attempting to grab a gun. Locals expressed shock over the tragedy.
