Tragic End: 6 Detained in Kidnapping and Murder of Young Birmingham Mother

Six suspects, three women and three men, have been detained in connection with the kidnapping and brutal murder of 20-year-old Birmingham mother Mahogany Jackson. Jackson had texted her family for help, claiming she was being held hostage, but her body was found under a mattress in an illegal dumping site. None of the suspects have been formally charged, and Birmingham police can hold them for at least 48 hours while the investigation continues. Jackson leaves behind a toddler daughter, and a candlelight vigil is planned as the investigation continues.
