The charges were later dismissed by City Attorney Zach Klein, who determined that the crimes were not committed. Daniels sued Columbus police over the arrest and reached a $450,000 settlement with the city in September 2019. Two detectives involved in her arrest were later fired for demonstrating "gross neglect of duty and incompetence."
