Uber passenger shoots driver in mistaken kidnapping fear.

An Uber driver in Texas was shot multiple times by a passenger who claimed she thought he was kidnapping her and taking her to Mexico. The victim, Daniel Piedra Garcia, is in critical condition and on life support. The shooter, Phoebe Copas, did not call 911 immediately after the incident and instead called her boyfriend first. Piedra's family believes stereotypes about the border may have led to the shooting. Uber has offered support to the family.
