Upper West Side stabbings linked to antisemitic motive; suspect yelled 'Allahu Akbar'

Two men were stabbed in two nearby assaults on Manhattan’s Upper West Side; witnesses reported the suspect shouted 'Allahu Akbar' during both attacks. One victim was Jewish; both victims were conscious and in stable condition after being taken to hospital. Police arrested Raul Morales, 51, and are reviewing hate-crime and mental-health factors, as well as what weapon was used. Officials stressed that antisemitism will be addressed and perpetrators held accountable.
