USF room­mate charged in double murder as second student remains missing

Hisham Abugharbieh, the roommate of USF doctoral student Zamil Limon, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in Limon’s death and the presumed death of Nahida Bristy, who remains missing after Limon’s body was found on the Howard Frankland Bridge. Abugharbieh, already facing multiple prior charges, now faces a potential death penalty or life in prison without parole if convicted of the murder charges. Limon and Bristy were last seen April 16; authorities are continuing to search for Bristy.
