Utah Author Accused of Murdering Husband Changed Life Insurance Policies, Took Out $2M

Kouri Richins, a Utah woman who wrote a children's book about grief after her husband's death, has been accused of poisoning him with fentanyl and changing his life insurance policies years before his death. She had bought four life insurance policies on her husband's life without his knowledge from 2015 to 2017 with benefits totaling nearly $2 million. Eric Richins had raised suspicions that his wife had previously tried to poison him, including on a vacation to Greece a few years ago. The case has become the latest true crime sensation.
