Utah Author of Grief Book Accused of Poisoning Husband

Kouri Richins, a Utah mother of three who wrote a children's book about processing grief, has been charged with murdering her husband by poisoning him with a lethal dose of fentanyl mixed into a cocktail. In a chilling TV interview promoting her book, Richins described her husband's death as unexpected and spoke about the different emotions and grieving processes she and her children experienced. Richins faces charges of aggravated murder and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. The couple apparently had issues long before Eric's death, with one of his sisters alleging that he believed his wife had tried to kill him years earlier.
