U.S. authorities say Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, a Mexican national who overstayed a B2 visa and reportedly held DACA status, was the alleged ringleader of a failed plot to attack officials at UFC Freedom 250 near the White House. He and four co-conspirators were arrested across Nebraska, Ohio, Missouri, and California and charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to commit violence on White House grounds. Alvarez entered on a B2 visa in 2001 and was later granted DACA in 2014; ICE has lodged a detainer, and DOJ described his role as planning, organizing, and directing the attack, including potential use of drones and counter-snipers.
