Woman Found Guilty of Drunk Driving and Fatally Hitting NYPD Officer

Jessica Beauvais, a woman accused of killing NYPD Officer Anastasios Tsakos in a drunken hit-and-run, has been found guilty on all charges, including aggravated manslaughter and vehicular manslaughter. Beauvais remained stoic as the verdict was read, while Officer Tsakos' widow burst into tears. Beauvais faces up to 20 years in prison and will be sentenced on December 14. The incident occurred when Beauvais's vehicle slammed into Officer Tsakos as he was directing traffic on the Long Island Expressway.
