Wrongfully convicted Arizona death row inmate released after 29 years.

Barry Lee Jones, an Arizona death row inmate who spent 29 years behind bars for murder, child abuse, and sexual assault convictions in the death of his girlfriend’s daughter, has been released from prison after his convictions and death sentence were thrown out in a deal with prosecutors. Jones pleaded guilty to a lesser murder charge in connection with his failure to seek medical care for the girl and was sentenced to 25 years in prison, with credit for time served. Arizona now has 110 people on its death row.
