Colorado school bus driver charged with child abuse for slamming on brakes to teach a lesson.

A Colorado school bus driver has been fired and is facing dozens of counts of child abuse after slamming on the brakes, causing elementary students to tumble into the seats in front of them. The incident occurred on March 1 and was caught on video. The driver, Brian Fitzgerald, was heard telling the children the importance of staying seated while transporting them home after school. Fitzgerald has been charged with one count of child abuse-knowing/reckless-bodily injury and 29 counts of child abuse-knowing/reckless-no injury, all misdemeanors.
