"Lincoln University's Response to Tragic VP Suicide Sparks Personnel Review"

Antoinette “Bonnie” Candia-Bailey, a Black academic who studied the challenges faced by Black women in academia, died by suicide after experiencing discrimination and lack of support at work. Her dissertation reflected the hardships she and other Black women faced in climbing the professional ladder in academia. Her death has prompted protests and calls for accountability at Lincoln University, where she worked.
