Rutgers University and Labor Unions Reach Historic Agreement to End Faculty Strike.

Rutgers University and its faculty reached an agreement to end a weeklong strike involving about 9,000 faculty and staff on three campuses. The strike began Monday after nearly a year of gridlocked contract negotiations. The agreement, which still must be approved by union members, includes salary increases, improved job security for adjunct faculty, and guaranteed funding for graduate students. Classes are set to resume Monday.
