Matthew Perry's Autopsy Reveals Cause of Death: Ketamine Overdose

Actor Matthew Perry, known for his role in "Friends," died from the acute effects of ketamine, according to an autopsy report. The report also revealed that Perry drowned in the heated end of his pool, but it was considered a secondary factor in his accidental death. Coronary artery disease and buprenorphine, used to treat opioid use disorder, were also contributing factors. Perry had been clean for 19 months but had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety. His last treatment was 1 1/2 weeks before his death. Perry's assistant found him face down in the pool after he had played pickleball earlier in the day.
