LA ME rules Brandon Clarke’s death accidental, tied to heroin and cocaine
Los Angeles County's medical examiner ruled that Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke died in May from the effects of heroin and cocaine, an accidental death. Clarke was found in a San Fernando Valley home with reports that drug paraphernalia was present. He remained under contract with the Grizzlies through the 2026-27 season and had been arrested about six weeks earlier in Arkansas on speeding, reckless driving and possession of a controlled substance.
