TL;DR

The cast and crew of Peaky Blinders, including Steven Knight and Cillian Murphy, have criticized Ron DeSantis' campaign for using video footage of the show's character Tommy Shelby without permission. The video, released as a wrap-up to Pride month, juxtaposes images from Peaky Blinders with DeSantis' anti-trans laws and efforts to shut down drag events. This is not the first time DeSantis has used popular culture references in his campaign ads.
