Canada's Wildfire Smoke Spreads Across Northeastern US

Smoke from the ongoing wildfires in Canada is expected to cause "moderate" air quality in New Jersey on Friday and Saturday, according to forecast maps from the EPA. Unlike last week's smoke, this smoke is expected to remain higher up in the atmosphere and not cause dangerous levels of air pollution. If the air quality deteriorates worse than "moderate," the state Department of Environmental Protection would issue a "code orange" air quality alert.
