Canadian Wildfire Smoke Causes Air Quality Warnings Across Western US

Smoke from Canadian wildfires has drifted south across the border, prompting air quality alerts in multiple states in the northwestern United States, including Montana, Colorado, Idaho, and Utah. The National Weather Service station in Glasgow, Mont., deemed the air quality "very unhealthy" and urged people to limit their time outside, close their windows and refrain from burning any debris. Canadian fire officials issued a special air quality statement for much of Alberta and said wildfires this year alone have burned more than two million acres.
