St. Paul, Minnesota had the worst air quality in the US due to smoke from Canadian wildfires, with the air quality index hitting "red" and being particularly dangerous for vulnerable groups. Minneapolis canceled outdoor events, and St. Paul canceled all youth and adult athletics.
