Canadian Wildfire Smoke Threatens Air Quality in Multiple US States

Smoke from Canadian wildfires may return to Central New York (CNY) this weekend due to a shift in wind direction. While it may not be as bad as last week, CNY and the North Country could experience poor air quality again. The air quality in CNY is forecast to rise into the Moderate category on Thursday and Friday. The smoke forecast from NASA shows a higher concentration of fine particulates nosing south from Canada from the wildfire some in Quebec by Saturday afternoon into Sunday as the wind direction at the surface and aloft shifts to the northwest.
