Air quality in Minnesota worsened on Wednesday due to smoke from Canadian wildfires, with readings over 200 in St. Cloud and the Twin Cities. The smoke plume has reached ground level, causing air quality to be in the very unhealthy category in much of central Minnesota. An air quality alert has been extended until Friday morning for central and southern Minnesota, with some members of the public experiencing health effects.
