Persistent Poor Air Quality in Ohio Due to Canadian Wildfire Smoke

The air quality in the Cleveland area and throughout Northeast Ohio remains poor due to smoke from Canadian wildfires. The region recorded an Air Quality Index level of 166 for fine particulates, which is considered unhealthy but an improvement from the previous day. An air quality advisory has been extended for several counties, urging people to limit outdoor activities, especially those with breathing problems. The air quality is even worse in other parts of the state. The forecast predicts the air quality to remain unhealthy before improving to moderate by Friday. The wildfires in Canada have burned about 19.5 million acres and are causing widespread haze and poor air quality across the United States.
