Raging Southern California Wildfire Forces Mass Evacuations, Destroys Homes

A fast-moving wildfire, known as the Mountain Fire, has spread over 10,000 acres in Ventura County, Southern California, prompting evacuations for 14,000 people and a red flag warning due to extreme fire risk. The fire, driven by strong Santa Ana winds, is 0% contained, with at least two people hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Firefighting efforts are hindered by high winds, preventing the use of fixed-wing aircraft. A second fire, the Broad Fire, has also erupted in Malibu, burning at least 50 acres and causing road closures.
