Wildfires in New Jersey Threaten Homes

Multiple wildfires are burning across New Jersey, with the largest, the Jennings Creek Wildfire in West Milford, consuming 2,000 acres and remaining uncontained. The fires are threatening homes and structures, exacerbated by severe drought conditions. A New York state forest ranger died while battling the blaze near the state line. Additional fires have been reported in Bridgewater, Pompton Lakes, and Englewood Cliffs, with varying levels of containment.
