A 61-year-old man with schizophrenia, who went missing for over three weeks after the sudden closure of the Northview Village Nursing Home in St. Louis, was found about a mile away at a local restaurant. Frederick Caruthers, the missing resident, was located by police after a member of the public spotted him. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation and had no obvious signs of injury. The closure of the nursing home, which left about 175 residents displaced, is under investigation by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and the union representing workers has raised concerns about unpaid wages.
