Louisville Mass Shooter's Brain to be Tested for CTE Amid Police Heroics and Mental Health Concerns.

The family of Connor Sturgeon, who killed five people in a mass shooting in Louisville, will have his brain tested for chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) due to multiple concussions he suffered while playing football in middle and high school. Sturgeon's mental and physical health are under investigation, and he was in treatment for anxiety and depression issues. CTE is a deterioration of the brain caused by repeated head trauma and can lead to mood and behavior symptoms such as aggression and depression. Results of the brain test are expected in six to eight weeks.
