Missouri Trans Youth Clinic Cleared of Misconduct Allegations

An internal review by Washington University found allegations of improper care at a center for young transgender patients were "unsubstantiated" after a former employee made claims of poor treatment. The former employee claimed the center was too quick to prescribe puberty blockers and hormones, did not do enough to educate parents and children before providing care, and did not have adequate wraparound services for mental health care. The allegations prompted an investigation by the state's attorney general into all pediatric transgender health care in the state. The university's review found no evidence of adverse physical reactions caused by medications prescribed by the center.
