Illinois Medicaid customers urged to renew coverage as pandemic policies end.

Illinoisans will have to renew their Medicaid coverage, which was paused during the pandemic, on a rolling basis through the middle of next year. Those who don't fill out a form or are no longer eligible will lose Medicaid coverage one month after their listed due date. The state health leaders estimate that hundreds of thousands of people in the state will lose Medicaid coverage because they no longer qualify, but they want to make sure no one loses coverage because they don't fill out the paperwork.
