Medicaid coverage to be stripped from millions in multiple states.

Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, New Hampshire, and South Dakota will be the first states to terminate Medicaid coverage for those deemed ineligible starting in April, as Congress' prohibition on winnowing Medicaid rolls ends. Around 15 million people could be dropped from Medicaid, including at least 6.7 million children. Advocates worry that speed will result in eligible residents being incorrectly terminated, and that it could hamper shifting those who no longer qualify to other types of coverage.
