Two Indianapolis Officers Wounded as Suspect Dies in Eastside Shootout

Two IMPD officers were shot on Indianapolis’ east side after encountering a male suspect during a disturbance call. The suspect was shot by officers and died at a local hospital; the two officers are in stable condition. Authorities recovered a firearm, and the investigation is being led by IMPD’s critical incident response team with assistance from multiple agencies; body-worn cameras were active during the incident.
