"Law enforcement leaders stranded in Israel for counterterrorism training; NJ and NC take precautions amid conflict"

Dozens of law enforcement leaders from New York, including six from Westchester County, are stranded in Israel after traveling there for an international counterterrorism and antisemitism training. They are currently sheltering in a safe location near the Gaza Strip and efforts are underway for their safe return to New York. New York Governor Kathy Hochul is focused on getting stranded New Yorkers out of Israel, as the country faces ongoing attacks and escalating violence.
