Tennessee's New Laws Effective July 1.

Tennessee will implement new laws on July 1, including a requirement for students to be expelled for at least a year for making mass threats, a ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth, a requirement for the death penalty to be carried out within 30 business days of appeals or post-conviction relief, fines for not slowing down or moving over for stopped cars with hazard lights on, and a law allowing students to report professors who teach "divisive concepts."
