MSU faces multiple lawsuits over mass shooting.

Two more families of students killed in the mass shooting at Michigan State University, and a student who was shot but survived and whose name had not previously been publicly released, have joined the group of people taking steps to sue the school. In total, seven students or families have filed notices in the Michigan Court of Claims that clear the way for them to bring civil lawsuits against MSU, including all three families of students who died and four of the five students who were wounded. The lawsuits will focus on claims that the university lacked door locks across campus prior to the shooting, specific rooms or buildings could not be remotely locked, and there was an inadequate campus video surveillance system.
