Safety concerns and lawsuits surround missing OceanGate sub.

OceanGate Expeditions CEO Richard Stockton Rush, who is onboard a submersible that went missing Sunday night in the North Atlantic Ocean, is being sued by a Florida couple for refusing to refund the $210,258 they claimed they spent on an expedition that was repeatedly delayed. The couple filed the lawsuit in February 2023, alleging that Rush ensured them a full refund if the timing was delayed, but later demanded they participate in a July 2021 Expedition or forfeit their refund. Rush is one of five people who are lost aboard the submersible, which had a four-day oxygen supply when it was put to sea around 6 a.m. Sunday.
