TL;DR

A Texas mother of five was shocked to discover an arrest warrant issued for her over overdue library books, which she claims she never received notices for due to an old address. The library's strict policy resulted in a nearly $570 ticket, leaving the family unable to afford it. The mother suggested alternative community service options as a more constructive approach to addressing overdue books, questioning the severity of the punishment.
