Lawyers for the Georgia election workers who were awarded $148 million in damages from Rudy Giuliani last week have filed a new lawsuit, asking a federal judge to order him to stop repeating his debunked claims about the poll workers and to enforce the jury's award before his assets are dissipated. The workers assert that Giuliani is continuing to baselessly accuse them of manipulating the absentee ballot count to steal the 2020 election. Giuliani repeated the allegations during and after his defamation trial, despite his lawyer conceding in court that the claims were wrong. The workers' lawyers are seeking a court order to bar Giuliani from repeating his defamatory falsehoods and are also requesting immediate enforcement of the judgment, citing concerns that Giuliani may try to hide or spend his remaining assets.
