Giuliani was found liable for defaming Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea "Shaye" Moss, falsely accusing them of participating in vote manipulation. The trial will determine the amount of damages Giuliani owes the women, who have requested between $15.3 million and $43 million. Giuliani's lawyer argued that while defamation occurred, it was not Giuliani who threatened and harassed the plaintiffs. Giuliani was also indicted in a Georgia RICO case related to efforts to interfere with the 2020 election.
