Settlements Reached in Fatal DUI Crashes: Justice for Grieving Grooms

The estate of Samantha Miller, who was killed in a car accident hours after her wedding ceremony, has reached a settlement with The Crab Shack, The Folly Deli, and Progressive Northern Insurance Company. The establishments will pay "certain sums" under the Wrongful Death Act and the Survival Act in exchange for a release of liability. The settling defendants will also cover attorney's fees. The driver, Jane Komorosky, faces charges including reckless vehicular homicide and driving under the influence causing great bodily injury. Komorosky's blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.
