Trump and Adult Children Summoned as Witnesses in NY Fraud Trial

New York Attorney General Letitia James plans to call former President Donald Trump and his three adult children to testify in his civil fraud trial, which is set to begin next week. The lawsuit alleges that Trump and the Trump Organization committed years of fraud by inflating the values of their assets. The attorney general is seeking $250 million in damages. Trump's sons, Donald Jr., Eric, and his daughter Ivanka, who are also defendants in the case, are among the 28 witnesses on James' list. Defense lawyers have also included Trump and his two oldest sons on their list of 128 witnesses. The trial will be conducted without a jury, and an appeals court panel is expected to rule on Trump's argument to dismiss some of the remaining claims before the trial begins.
