Trump's Attempt to Move Hush Money Case to Federal Court Denied

Former President Donald Trump has lost his bid to move his New York state court case, related to a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels, to federal court. The decision by Federal Judge Alvin Hellerstein means that Trump will proceed to trial on March 25 in Manhattan Supreme Court. Trump was indicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The judge dismissed Trump's arguments that the case should be in federal court because the charged conduct was committed when he was president, stating that the evidence overwhelmingly suggests it was a personal matter and a cover-up of an embarrassing event.
