Dodgers disinvite Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

The Los Angeles Dodgers disinvited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence from their Pride Night on June 16 after facing immense pressure from anti-LGBTQ+ groups, including the Catholic League and Sen. Marco Rubio. The Sisters are civil rights activists who have been in existence since the late 1970s and have devoted themselves to community service, ministry, and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity, and spiritual enlightenment. The Dodgers' decision to disinvite the Sisters was met with backlash from the LGBTQ+ community and organizations, including LA Pride, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and the ACLU of Southern California.
