The Los Angeles Dodgers have rescinded their invitation to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a drag troupe, to perform at their Pride Night celebration, citing the group's presence would run counter to the event's "spirit of unity." The activist group has been on the forefront of LGBTQ+ rights activism for decades and was set to be honored on June 16. The move came after Sen. Marco Rubio complained to Major League Baseball about the Dodgers honoring the group, calling them an "anti-Catholic" group. The Dodgers' decision was made on the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia.
