TL;DR

The Bug Fire near the Nevada‑California border has grown to about 6,500 acres since Saturday, prompting Evacuation Orders for Cold Springs, Canyon Hills, White Lake and Silver Knolls in Washoe County (with a drive‑through safety corridor and animal evac centers at Evelyn Mount Community Center and the Reno Livestock Event Center); northbound U.S. 395 exits at White Lake and Village Pkwy are closed. California counties Lassen and Sierra have evacuation warnings. Crews are actively fighting the fire, but containment is not yet established.
