Massive Blaze Engulfs Discount Store Near City Center

A two-alarm fire destroyed a Dollar Tree discount store in San Antonio, just north of downtown. The fire, which had been burning for some time before being noticed, caused the roof to collapse, leading firefighters to fight the flames from the outside. Accessing certain areas of the building proved challenging, and a city crew with heavy equipment was brought in to assist. The cause of the fire is unknown, and North Main Avenue is currently closed between Ashby and Dewey. No injuries were reported as the store was closed at the time.
